Bipolar Self-Management Workshop

Self-management to stay well with bipolar disorder

The aim of this workshop is to introduce participants to the major strategies that people use to live well with bipolar disorder. Strategies explained to us by lived experience experts include:

  • Managing medication through a collaborative relationship with the prescriber
  • Being knowledgeable about the disorder, and educating others
  • Maintaining regular sleep and activity
  • Connecting with family and others
  • Ongoing monitoring of the disorder
  • Reflective and meditative practices
  • Having a plan to deal with early signs of relapse, and crises

The workshop runs for 90 minutes, and will be conducted in an interactive question-answer format, focussing on the strategies of most interest to the participants.Participants will be introduced to our free publically available website, designed to help people with bipolar disorder maximise their quality of life through self-management ( Places are limited – bookings are essential.
